Antiphonary Leaf on Vellum with Calligraphic Initials
Very Large Original Music Leaf from the 16th. Century. Latin text with black square notes on a red four line staff. Four large highlighted letters, one of which is particulary fine.
Dimensions: Large folio, 15 1/8” x 21 1/4”overall measurement. Condition: Text on verso, left edge uneven from disbinding will mat out, residue from previous mounting will mat out, two nicks in lower right corner will mat out, otherwise in remarkable condition for it’s age.
Printing type: Hand calligraphy on vellum, source unknown, Italian, c.1550.
