Please Note: This print came out of a major London auction house that neglected to mention in their catalog listing that the print was matted improperly with a non acid-free mat so the print sustained “mat burn” on the outer margins. The image part of the print is still lovely, thereby matted properly with a conservation mat, the print will be stable (information provided by a well known conservator) and will provide many, many years of enjoyment. This print is priced below market price because of this previously unreported condition.
Larger Image: Image area and how the print will look when it is matted and framed. The affected area, shown in the smaller image, will not appear when the print is matted properly.
Smaller Image: The full sheet showing the margins with the mat burn.
Note: This image is digitally watermarked, but the electronic watermark does not appear on the actual print. Guaranteed authentic original antique print. Certificate of authenticity available at no extra charge upon request.
