J. M. Seligmann plate after George Edwards. Quite rare.

The plates in this edition by Edwards and Catesby were reengraved by Seligmann. In some cases, botanical and scenic backgrounds were added to fine effect . Small folio, 10 1/2" x 17" overall measurement, copperplate engraving, finely hand-colored, left edge uneven from disbinding will mat out, top edge sunned will mat out, few tiny foxing marks will mat out, faint thumbing mark middle right margin will mat out, otherwise excellent, colors bright, Amsterdam, 1772. Nurenberg, 1749.
