From The Animal Kingdom

This well written and beautifully illustrated treatise on the animal kingdom was based upon the writings of the eminent naturalists Audubon, Wallace, Brehm, Wood and others. It is a fine example of the art of chromolithographic printing that flourished around the turn of the last century. On the title page of the book it proudly states that the book is illustrated "With Sixty-Four Full Page Illustrations Accurately And Beautifully Executed In Eight Colors And Tints."
